Hence, wrap the raw PTFE tape counterclockwise to the left. This strategic approach guarantees a tighter fit, preventing any potential loosening during installation.

3. As you wrap, apply the PTFE thread seal tape snugly around the thread to establish a seamless and secure adhesion. Aim for the tightest wrap possible, ensuring no slack. Post wrapping, use your hands to rotate and press the tape firmly into place, or alternatively, wrap while exerting pressure to enhance the adhesion.

4. While the precise number of layers isn't rigidly defined, ensure a leak-proof application. Experience suggests wrapping it more than ten times typically provides a robust seal. This method assures a superior sealing effect, safeguarding against leaks.

5. Exercise caution when tightening the thread. Excessive force isn't necessary—simply apply moderate pressure to achieve a secure fit. The hand should sense a strong hold, indicating sufficient tightening for effective leak prevention.
