Instructions for Using PTFE Thread Seal Tape

1. Begin by thoroughly cleaning the connecting parts, ensuring they are free of any foreign objects and contaminants.

2. It's crucial to wrap the tape in the correct direction. For example, when screwing an angle valve into the wall's internal thread, it rotates clockwise. Therefore, wrap the PTFE tape counterclockwise. This ensures the tape tightens as the valve is screwed in, preventing loosening and securing a firm seal.

3. During application, make sure to pull the PTFE thread seal tape snugly so it adheres tightly to the threads. Aim for a firm wrap without slack. After wrapping, press and rotate the tape by hand for enhanced adhesion, or simultaneously wrap and press it into place.

4. The number of wrap layers isn't strictly defined, but generally, wrapping over ten times is recommended to achieve optimal sealing without leakage. Personal experience often guides this aspect, ensuring a leak-proof connection.

5. When tightening the threads, avoid excessive force. A moderate amount of pressure is sufficient to prevent leakage. Aim for a firm hand-tight feel, balancing between tightness and the necessary seal strength.
