How to use PTFE thread seal tape?

1. Thoroughly clean the connecting parts, removing any foreign objects to ensure a pristine start.

2. Carefully consider the wrapping direction. For instance, with an angle valve, when it's screwed into the wall's inner thread, it turns clockwise. Therefore, wrap the raw tape counterclockwise. This technique ensures the angle valve tightens securely upon screwing, preventing loosening.

3. As you wrap, apply tension to the PTFE thread seal tape, ensuring it adheres snugly to the threads. Aim for a firm wrap without loosening. Post-wrapping, rotate and press the tape firmly by hand, or wrap while applying pressure for maximum effect.

4. While there are no stringent rules on the number of layers, wrapping more than ten times is typically recommended to guarantee a leak-proof seal, based on practical experience.

5. Avoid over-tightening the threads. A moderate application of force is sufficient to prevent leakage. The key is to achieve a strong, yet not excessively tight, hand-tight feel.
