How to use PTFE thread seal tape?

1. Begin by meticulously removing any foreign objects from the connecting parts, ensuring they are pristine before application.

2. Be mindful of the wrapping direction. Using the angle valve as an illustration, when screwing the angle valve into the wall's inner thread clockwise, wrap the tape counterclockwise to the left. This ensures that as the angle valve is tightened, the seal becomes firmer without loosening.

3. While wrapping, apply the PTFE thread seal tape with precision, ensuring it adheres snugly to the thread. Tighten it as much as possible, ensuring no slack remains. Post-wrapping, use your hands to rotate and press it firmly, or alternatively, wrap while applying pressure.

4. The number of wrapping layers isn't rigid but ensure it is sufficient to achieve a leak-free seal. Generally, based on practical experience, more than ten turns are recommended to guarantee optimal sealing efficiency.

5. Exercise caution when tightening the thread. A delicate touch suffices—extreme force isn't necessary to prevent leakage. As long as the manual tightening feels solid, the seal is adequately secure.
