How to Use PTFE Thread Seal Tape

1. Begin by meticulously removing any foreign objects from the connecting parts to ensure they remain immaculate.

2. Carefully consider the wrapping direction. For instance, when screwing an angle valve into the wall's inner thread, the motion is clockwise to the right. Hence, the raw material tape should be wrapped counterclockwise to the left on the angle valve, ensuring a tighter, more secure fit as the valve is turned.

3. As you wrap, ensure the PTFE thread seal tape clings firmly to the thread. Aim for maximum snugness, avoiding any slackness. Post-wrapping, use your hands to press and rotate it tightly, or combine wrapping with pressing for superior adhesion.

4. The number of layers required isn't fixed; it should simply be sufficient to prevent leakage. That said, practical experience advises wrapping at least ten times to confer optimal sealing effectiveness.

5. When tightening the thread, apply moderate force. Excessive tightening isn't necessary to avert leakage. A strong feel in the hand when tightening indicates satisfactory security.
