How to use PTFE thread seal tape?

1. Start by thoroughly cleaning the connection parts to remove any foreign objects, ensuring a pristine surface.

2. Attention to the direction of wrapping is crucial. Using the angle valve as an illustration, when inserting it into the wall's inner thread, you turn it clockwise to the right. Therefore, wrap the PTFE tape counterclockwise to the left. This ensures that as you screw in the angle valve, the tape tightens securely, preventing any loosening.

3. For optimal results, tighten the PTFE thread seal tape snugly around the threads. Aim for the tightest possible adherence without loosening. Post wrapping, use your hands to rotate and compress it, or press while wrapping for a firmer fit.

4. The number of PTFE tape layers is not strictly defined, but the goal is to achieve a leak-proof seal. Typically, more than ten wraps are recommended to ensure maximum sealing efficiency.

5. Avoid over-tightening the threads. Moderate force suffices to prevent leaks, ensuring a strong, yet not overly tight, fit.
