How to use PTFE thread seal tape?

1. Begin by removing any foreign objects from the connecting parts to maintain cleanliness.

2. Pay close attention to the direction of wrapping. For instance, when screwing an angle valve into the wall's inner thread, rotate it clockwise to the right. The PTFE tape should be wrapped counterclockwise to the left around the angle valve. This ensures that as the valve is screwed in, the tape tightens naturally, preventing any loosening.

3. During wrapping, secure the PTFE thread seal tape tightly to the thread, ensuring it adheres firmly. Aim for a snug fit by wrapping it tightly. After wrapping, press it down with your hands or wrap while applying pressure to ensure stability.

4. The number of wrapping layers isn't strictly regulated, but it should be sufficient to prevent leakage. Typically, wrapping over ten times is advisable to achieve the best sealing effect, based on practical experience.

5. When tightening the thread, avoid excessive force. A gentle yet firm hand should suffice, ensuring no leakage occurs. The right amount of tension is achieved when it feels secure while tightening.
