How to use PTFE thread seal tape?

1. Begin by meticulously clearing any foreign objects from the connecting parts to maintain a pristine surface for optimal sealing.

2. Pay close attention to the wrap direction. Taking the angle valve as an example, when screwing the angle valve into the wall's inner thread, it is done clockwise. Therefore, wrap the tape counterclockwise to ensure it tightens securely when installed, avoiding any chance of loosening.

3. As you wrap, ensure the PTFE thread seal tape tightly adheres to the threads by wrapping it firmly without slack. Press it tightly by hand as you go, or apply pressure while wrapping to enhance the bond.

4. There is flexibility in the number of layers, but experience suggests wrapping it over ten times is usually necessary to achieve an impeccable seal and prevent leaks.

5. When tightening, apply reasonable force—enough to feel firm but not overly tight. The goal is a reliable seal without risking damage to the thread.
