How to Use PTFE Thread Seal Tape?

1. Begin by meticulously removing any foreign materials from the connecting parts, ensuring they remain pristine and free of debris.

2. Consider the wrapping direction carefully. For example, when installing an angle valve into an internal wall thread, it rotates clockwise. Therefore, wrap the PTFE tape counterclockwise. This ensures the valve tightens as you screw it in, preventing any loosening.

3. As you wrap, apply tension to the PTFE thread seal tape to ensure it clings snugly to the threads. Strive to maintain tightness throughout the process, pressing it firmly with your hands as you go, or simultaneously wrap and press.

4. The number of wrapping layers isn't fixed—wrap sufficiently to achieve a leak-proof fit. Typically, it requires over ten wraps to guarantee optimal sealing.

5. When tightening the threads, avoid excessive force. A gentle, firm tightening is adequate to prevent leaks, ensuring a snug fit.
