How to use PTFE thread seal tape?

1. Begin by meticulously cleaning the connecting parts, ensuring they are free from any foreign debris.

2. Mind the wrapping direction carefully. For instance, when screwing the angle valve into the threaded wall, it rotates clockwise. Thus, wrap the PTFE tape counterclockwise. This approach ensures that as the angle valve screws in, the tape tightens instead of loosening, providing a firm seal.

3. During application, apply firm pressure to the PTFE tape to ensure it closely adheres to the threads. Strive for maximum tension, and after wrapping, rotate and press the tape with your hands for a snug fit, or apply pressure while wrapping.

4. The number of wrapping layers isn't strictly defined; it should suffice to prevent leakage. However, experience suggests that wrapping more than ten times typically achieves optimal sealing.

5. When tightening the thread, exercise gentle force. Over-tightening isn't necessary to prevent leakage. A firm hand feel upon tightening indicates a sufficient seal.
