How to use PTFE thread seal tape?

1. Begin by meticulously clearing any foreign objects from the connecting parts, ensuring a pristine and clean surface.

2. Pay keen attention to the direction of wrapping. For example, when dealing with an angle valve, it is crucial to wrap the raw material tape counterclockwise to the left. This method ensures that as the angle valve is screwed into the wall’s inner thread in a clockwise direction, it tightens securely without loosening.

3. During wrapping, apply ample pressure to tightly secure the PTFE thread seal tape around the threads. Ensure it remains taut and unwavering. After wrapping, rotate and press the tape firmly with your hands. Alternatively, wrap while applying pressure to maintain tightness.

4. The number of wrapping layers is flexible, primarily determined by achieving a leak-proof seal. However, experience suggests wrapping more than ten times typically ensures optimal sealing performance.

5. Exercise caution when tightening the threads. Excessive force isn’t necessary to prevent leakage; a moderate, firm grip usually suffices. The goal is to achieve a robust seal through balanced tightening.
