How to use PTFE thread seal tape?

1. Begin by removing any foreign objects from the connecting parts, ensuring they are impeccably clean and ready for application.

2. Be mindful of the wrapping direction. For instance, when screwing an angle valve into the wall's inner thread, turn it clockwise to the right. Therefore, wrap the raw PTFE tape counterclockwise to the left. This ensures that as the valve is screwed in, it becomes tighter and stays firmly in place.

3. While wrapping, apply the PTFE thread seal tape with precision, ensuring it tightly adheres to the thread. Aim for a snug fit—tightening the tape as much as possible without loosening. Post-wrap, press and rotate the tape with your hands to secure it, or continue wrapping while pressing to reinforce its hold.

4. The number of wrapping layers isn't strictly defined, but it should suffice to tighten without leaks. Based on industry experience, wrapping more than ten times is typically necessary to achieve the desired sealing effect.

5. When tightening the thread, exercise caution to avoid over-tightening. A moderate amount of force is adequate to prevent leaks. The objective is to achieve a firm hand feel during tightening, which indicates sufficient sealing.
