How to use PTFE thread seal tape?

1. Begin by removing any foreign objects from the connecting parts to ensure a pristine and clean surface.

2. Take special care with the wrapping direction. For instance, when attaching an angle valve to the inner thread of the wall, rotate it clockwise to the right. Thus, the PTFE tape should be wrapped counterclockwise to the left. This method ensures that as the angle valve is tightened, the seal becomes more secure without loosening.

3. Ensure the PTFE thread seal tape is wound tightly around the threads for optimal adherence. Aim for maximum tension to avoid any slack. After wrapping, firmly press and rotate the tape with your hands for a snug fit, or wrap while applying pressure.

4. While the exact number of layers isn't fixed, wrapping it more than ten times is generally recommended to achieve the best sealing performance. Ensure it's tight enough to prevent leaks.

5. When securing the thread, apply gentle force. Over-tightening is unnecessary to prevent leakage; as long as the connection feels firm by hand, your seal is sufficient.
