How to use PTFE thread seal tape?

1. Begin by meticulously cleaning the connecting parts to remove any foreign substances and ensure a pristine surface.

2. Be mindful of the direction in which you wrap the tape. For example, when installing an angle valve into the wall's inner thread, turn it clockwise to the right. Therefore, wrap the PTFE tape counterclockwise to the left, ensuring a tighter fit that won't loosen during operation.

3. When applying the tape, pull it taut to achieve a snug fit against the threads. Maintain tension throughout the process to ensure the tape adheres firmly. After wrapping, firmly press the tape into place to ensure a secure seal.

4. The number of wraps isn't strictly defined, but for a leak-proof seal, experience suggests wrapping the tape more than ten times. This practice ensures optimal sealing performance.

5. While tightening the thread, avoid excessive force. A moderate amount of pressure is sufficient to prevent leaks, ensuring a firm fit without over-tightening.
