How to Use PTFE Thread Seal Tape?

1. Begin by clearing any debris or foreign objects from the connecting parts, ensuring a pristine, clean surface.

2. Consider the wrapping direction carefully. For instance, when screwing an angle valve into the wall's inner thread, it rotates clockwise to the right. Therefore, wrap the tape counterclockwise to the left. This method tightens the angle valve securely, preventing any potential loosening.

3. Wrap the PTFE thread seal tape firmly around the threads, ensuring a snug and secure fit. Strive to keep it tight, avoiding any slack. After wrapping, press it tightly with your hands, or wrap while applying pressure for a perfect seal.

4. There isn't a fixed rule for the number of wraps needed, but it should be enough to prevent leaks. Typically, wrapping more than ten times is recommended for optimal sealing.

5. Avoid over-tightening when securing the thread. Just a reasonable amount of force is required to ensure no leakage. A firm hand-tight feel is sufficient.
